Holiday Park
This 30-acre park provides a good glimpse of the Everglades.
Here you can take an airboat tour, look at an 18th century-style
Native American village, or watch an alligator-wrestling show.
A souvenir shop, TJ's Grill, a convenience store and a campground
with RV hookups and tent-sites are all here as well.

Butterfly
World
Thousands of caterpillars representing as many as 150 species
pupate and emerge as butterflies in this walk-through laboratory
inside Tradewinds Park. A screened aviary called North American
Butterflies is reserved for native species.

Museum
of Discovery & Science
Like other similar museums, the aim here is to show the wonders
of science in an entertaining fashion. As soon as visitors
see the 52-ft-tall Great Gravity Clock in the courtyard entrance,
they know they're in for a cool experience. Inside, exhibits
include Kid-science, which encourages youngsters to explore
the world around them; Gizmo City, a look at how gadgets work;
and Florida Ecoscapes, a living coral reef.

Swimming Hall of Fame Museum & Aquatic Complex
This monument with underwater accomplishments has two 10-lane,
50-meter pools and an exhibition building with photos, medals
and other souvenirs from major swimming events around the
world, as well as a theater that shows films of onetime swimming
and film stars.

Museum
of Art
Housed in an Edward Larrabee Barnes-designed building that's
considered an architectural masterpiece, this museum has Florida's
largest art exhibition space. The impressive permanent collection
features 20th-century European and American art.

RiverWalk
This lovely, paved promenade on the north bank of the New
River is great for entertainment as well as views. On the
first Sunday of every month a jazz brunch attracts visitors.
The walk has been extended 2 miles on both sides of the beautiful
urban stream, connecting with a cluster of facilities collectively
known as the Arts and Science District.
Sawgrass
Recreation Park
To understand and enjoy the Everglades, take an airboat ride
at Sawgrass Recreation Park. You'll see all sorts of plants
and wildlife, such as birds, alligators, turtles, snakes and
fish.

Water
Taxi
For a day of sightseeing, the taxi will pick you up at one
of a number of hotels along the waterway, and you can stop
off at attractions like the Museum of Science and Discovery
or the John Lloyd State Park. In the evening, it's a great
way to go bar hopping or a fun way to go out to dinner. The
Water Taxi will go anywhere within the nearly seven miles
of Intracoastal Waterway, between Port Everglades and Commercial
Boulevard and up the New River to downtown Fort Lauderdale.
